What an incredible two weeks we have had here with everything we needed for comfortable living (once we three oldies had figured everything out…). We tried out all of the different eating spots in the garden and balcony. We met with friendly neighbours and loved Nikos’ food served up by Aris.
We motored as far as Voidikilia with a superb lunch at Gialova “To Spitiko” on the beachfront, lively, attentive waiters with good suggestions.
The drive to Kardamili, after a stop at Kalamata for the Wednesday food market, is a very worthwhile, if long, day visit.
Each day had something special and memorable and a lovely “home” to return to. And at last we found Amoudi thanks to Emma and Michael’s excellent map with instructions. We have been so near in other years – but it was elusive. What a great place though, and in November barely another soul sharing it with us. We did meet Andreas, a friendly german-speaking man, who told us with massive sign language the story of the turtles!
