Charming holiday house in the southern Peloponnese
Pilinos is a traditional stone house with a beautiful terrace garden
Situated in the heart of a quintessential Greek village, a holiday house near Koroni with a gorgeous secluded terrace and with views stretching across the valley and towards the Mani over the Messinian Gulf.
3 Bedrooms
2 Bathrooms
Sleeps 6
Terrace garden
The house has 3 bedrooms, two doubles and one twin, and sleeps 6 people. It is furnished simply and comfortably. There is air-conditioning available, although given its location at the top of the hill it catches the afternoon breezes beautifully. The garden, which is not overlooked, has plenty of shade and a range of places to sit and relax including a very comfy hammock. There are peaceful beaches less than ten minutes away by car at Amoudi and Kalamaki and more ‘organised’ beaches to the east and west, including our favourites Tsapi, Triada and Peroulia. Easily accessible, Pilinos is an hour from Kalamata airport and around 3 1/2 hours from Athens.
The bustling harbour of Koroni, with small local supermarkets, bakeries, fresh fish shops, butchers and a wide variety of eateries, as well as a busy market on Sunday mornings, mean you will eat and drink well. We love to watch the world go by with a cool drink at Takis’ kafenion by the water, and have been lucky enough to spot seals and turtles there. And do look out for Joanna’s fruit and vegetable stall on the roadside on your way into town, her oranges make the most exquisite juice and the house is equipped with a juicer to start your mornings perfectly.
Located in Vasilitsi – a traditional Greek village
The house is situated at the tip of the south-westernmost “finger” of the Peloponnese. Rural and remote but not far from Koroni, Vasilitsi is a traditional village with a few 21st century additions. You will hear donkeys and chickens as well as motorbikes and TV’s. The residents are very friendly and the church bells are lively.
In a region known for its wonderful oil and olives the village is surrounded by open countryside and fantastic views across the Gulf of Messinia to the Taygetos mountains of the Mani. With a small village shop plus two kafenia, you can get all you need within a short walk of the front door. And the jewel in the crown is Nikos’, a fantastic taverna renowned for miles around for the quality of the food, mostly organic and grown by Nikos, the generous size of the portions and the small size of the bill!
Danke Emma!

Pilinos house is a little piece of heaven. After a long trip, we were looking for a calm place to relax and it was perfect for that. This is a cosy typical house decorated with great taste in the middle of a beautiful Greek village. I really enjoyed my naps in the hammock on the terrasse, the night next to the fireplace or walking into the narrow streets of the village to get my morning bread. On top of it, the communication with Emma and Michael was great. I highly recommend it.

Pilinos House in Vasilitsi was an amazing getaway in the Peloponnese! The house has stunning views of the sea and mountains, and it's close to beautiful beaches, hikes, and historic sites near Koroni. The village is peaceful, with a great tavern open daily. The house was fully equipped, with two sunny terraces, a cozy library, and thoughtful extras like beach gear. The hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive, making our stay even better. Highly recommend Pilinos House for a relaxing, authentic Greek experience!

Lovely and comfortable house, very accurately described. The terraces are great, with super views from the small terrace over the Gulf of Messenia (hard to beat as a location for breakfast). Emma is a very easy host to communicate with and the house is very well stocked with initial supplies. There are also good guide books and useful beach stuff like snorkels etc.
Good mosquito protection in the bedrooms although we found the area less 'buggy' than other stays on our trip.
The village streets are narrow and it is not easy to park directly by the house. So we protected our hire car excess by parking at the village car park on the main road! Its a 5 mins walk up into the village and across to the house. It was quite OK to drive up to unload.
Short drives to places of interest and many wonderful beaches in the area. We visited in October so everywhere was quiet, just a few tourists about despite the weather being perfect.

We had a very pleasant stay at this lovely traditional Greek house in Vasilitsi. Emma made it very easy for us to check in with clear instructions and gave us great suggestions on things to do in the area. We have great memories from our stay and would visit again.

We loved every moment of our time in Emma‘s House Pilinus. Everything was Perfect: the Style, furniture, the Terrace, Living room. It was really hard to leave this Special Place.
And we had a fantastic Programm around Vasilitsi. Everyday we spend a visit to a beautiful village with a stunnig castle and ended up at a superb Beach. 5 Stars!
